Side viewThis handsome early-Ontario fieldstone farmhouse was built in 1868 by Scottish stonemasons for an Irish immigrant family and is now designated as a Heritage Site. It has been restored and renovated to blend modern comfort and conveniences with a flavour of the past. Antique and contemporary furnishings meld harmoniously in the comfortable attractive rooms. Antiques and Collectibles in THE FRONT ROOM

An antique shop is found in “The Front Room".

Other features of the house include air conditioning and bedroom ceiling fans, a large country kitchen, an inviting family room with fieldstone fireplace, and a screened-in dining patio adjacent to an outdoor flagstone patio.

A swimming pool and cabana are located in a secluded setting. The free-form pool is approximately 40' x 20'. It is heated and also offers lighted evening swimming. The cabana includes change rooms, washroom and refrigerator.  The pool deck allows plenty of space for relaxing in the sun or shade or having snacks and cool drinks.

Pool and Cabana

The house and pool are surrounded by trees and extensive lawns. There is, as well, a fine example of an early Ontario barn.

A natural pond and stream are to be found in a lovely isolated bowl-setting great for sketching, reading, meditation, etc.
